With a No. 1 song on Billboard’s Dance Charts (‘Pyramid”), a Top Ten Pop debut last Spring – and a major role on the hit TV Show “Glee” last season, her talents are now even bigger than even she imagined. When this barely five foot bundle of dynamite opens her mouth to sing, with a soaring voice filled with emotion and conviction, the audience literally gasps. At over 260 million hits and counting on YouTube, that audience is growing at a staggering pace.

Born and raised in the Philippines, Charice’s talent was discovered at age 4 when her mother, also a singer, found her daughter singing “Happy Birthday” and decided to teach her proper vocal technique. By age 7, Charice was competing in singing contests throughout Asia and supported her family through the earnings from these contests.

When a fan began posting a series of Charice’s performances on YouTube, she instantly became an authentic Internet sensation attracting the attention of American TV shows, resulting in appearances on the Ellen DeGeneres Show and the Oprah Winfrey Show. “You are a force to be reckoned with. Charice also had a featured role in the recent “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel” movie. On the international front, Charice’s first CD has gone to No. 1 in Japan and throughout Asia. On top of her success in the music world, Charice just finished filming her first feature film; “Here Comes The Boom”. Charice recently released her second studio album “Infinity” throughout Asia. Belated Happy New Year everyone!

As you all are already so aware that Charice will return to Japan next month (yes, we're now in February now) for her second nationwide solo tour, and today, what has been speculated is now revealed and announced.

It has just been revealed that Charice, is to join a new campaign called "I LOVE COVERS", powered by Rekochoku and music.jp, which is also a major part of a second campaign of "CHARICE×ACUVUE - LOVE JAPANESE SONGS CAMPAIGN".

The thing is, people is going to vote for a Japanese song that they would like Charice to cover, and she will. "I LOVE COVERS" is a campaign and a series of covers with each different artists. And Charice was chosen to be the very first singer for the series. What a honor!

There will be a voting at several places on the web like twitter, facebook, mixi (Japanese SNS), starting from today (February 1st) to February 14th. For you, you come up with a "Japanese Song" that Japanese people have always beloved and treasured, and vote what song you would like Charice to cover.

Warner Music Japan also stated that for Charice, who has dearly loved Japan, they would like to take this opportunity to let her touch and know more beautiful music in Japan as gratitude.

There will be 5 songs to be picked first, then there will come an online quiz for you all can apply for which one from the five will be chosen. All the applicants will automatically be applied for a Special Charice Giveaway. (The present haven't been annouced at this moment)

The song will be chosen will be announced by Charice herself on the first night of her 「ACUVUE presents CHARICE "INFINITY" JAPAN TOUR」 Tour at Shibuya Kokaido, Tokyo on March 14th, and will be performed at all three venues.

A beautiful Japanese song, will reborn with this fantastically miraculous voice.
