GLEE Guest Star Charice Teases the Return of Sunshine Corazon

Before we get into GLEE, we’re curious as to just how old were you when you realized you had such an incredible voice inside of you?
Charice: Actually my Mom discovered me because I was really shy. Actually, growing up I wanted to be a dancer but my Mom used to be a vocalist in a band and when she would get back home from work she would see me singing on top of the table. I was 4 years old and singing Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On.” So she discovered me and trained me.

What brings Sunshine back to GLEE?
My character (Sunshine Corazon) arrives to help the Glee Club at a benefit concert. Although I’m not sure Rachel was as excited about Sunshine coming to help out, but I’m looking forward to finding out what’s going to happen next.

In an interview with TVGuide, Executive Producer Ian Brennan, teased that Sunshine will play a big role in the final two episodes of the season, anything you can tease?
I don’t know what they are planning, but if they’re going to ask me or give me the chance to sing another duet I would love to do it with Amber Riley (Mercedes). I think she is an amazing performer and I love the way she sings, I would love to perform with her.

What are you most excited for your fans to see tomorrow night?
I think my favorite part of the episode is when I actually got to sing “All By Myself. I love that song and have been singing that song forever so I when I was on stage I was really feeling it.

Do you have a favorite cast member off -camera?
They’re all nice and sweet, but I must say Naya Rivera was really nice because when I was first on set, she knew all about me. She was like, “I saw you on Oprah,” and I was really surprised she knew I played guitar. It’s impressive because I know they’re very busy, she’s very busy, yet she still had time to do her research and make me feel welcome.
